Over a year since the tragic passing of their longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins on March 25, 2022, in Colombia, Foo Fighters have now unveiled their new drummer. The band introduced Josh Freese, a longstanding friend of the group, during a live stream on May 21, 2023, where they also performed a live show together.
Josh Freese is an American drummer who has played with several well-known bands, often as a studio musician, including A Perfect Circle, Paramore, and Evanescence!

Foo Fighters Announce New Drummer
The band has also announced a new album titled But Here We Are, set to release on June 2. This will be the band's eleventh album and reflects on the events and losses of the past year. Here’s a sneak peek at the tracklist:
