A big round of applause and congratulations: Marvel is celebrating its 85th anniversary! Marvel Comics was founded in 1939, and since then, the superheroes from the franchise have captivated fans of all ages. Heroes like Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Thor are just a few of the most popular characters who have enchanted audiences through both comics and movies. And with these words, Marvel announced the anniversary:
"We are celebrating 85 years of Marvel - thanks to you!"
In an emotional video, Marvel highlights everything that has happened over the past 85 years. The franchise was acquired by Disney in 2009 and has faced its share of criticism since, but Marvel continues to look forward, expanding the stories of its heroes (and anti-heroes).
When you think of Marvel, Stan Lee naturally comes to mind. The famous comic book writer not only made his mark on the world through the Marvel comics but also through numerous cameos in their film adaptations. Of course, he also appears in Marvel's anniversary video.

These Marvel Movies Await You In 2024 And 2025!
Even though some of the recent MCU releases have been met with less enthusiasm and the future of Marvel is viewed with some skepticism, there are always films and series that manage to succeed. Recently, "Deadpool & Wolverine" stirred up excitement in theaters as the X-Men made their first appearance in the MCU, and one of the franchise's most beloved anti-heroes returned to the big screen. But that's not all for 2024! Here's what you can still look forward to this year and what's in store for 2025.
