The Westphalian band Any Given Day has developed into one of the most promising national metalcore groups in recent years. It’s no surprise they’ve already been seen at the Impericon Festival, among internationally known bands like Eskimo Callboy, Emmure, and Northlane. Any Given Day is generally classified under metalcore. However, the band presents their sound in an exceptionally progressive manner and often incorporates elements of djent. According to the band, groups like Heaven Shall Burn, Killswitch Engage, and Slipknot are the main sources of inspiration when writing new music. Notable is the bombastic drum sound and the consistently underlying hardness, usually accompanied by atmospheric tones. The band was founded in Gelsenkirchen in 2012 and released a self-titled demo recording with three songs in the same year. In 2014, their single "Diamonds" - a Rihanna cover - gained significant media attention and is retrospectively considered a crucial step towards their breakthrough. The accompanying music video now has over 15 million views on YouTube. Their debut album, My Longest Way Home, was released in the same year, landing them directly at number 28 on the German album charts. In 2016, they achieved further success with their second work, Everlasting, which entered the German album charts at number 14. In 2019, the band released their third long-player, Overpower, presenting a mature work. With over 280,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Any Given Day now belongs to the top tier of German Metalcore.
