Singer and actor Jared Leto climbed the Empire State Building in New York to announce the world tour of his band Thirty Seconds To Mars for 2024! Pictures and dates can be found here.
Those who have been following Jared Leto, the lead singer of the rock band Thirty Seconds To Mars, for a while now surely know about his love for climbing. So how could he better announce their world tour than with a climbing action on the iconic New York skyscraper, the Empire State Building? Secured with ropes (which is not always guaranteed with him), he climbed up the huge building on November 9, 2023 and reached the outer platform at the top. This makes him the first person ever to climb the Empire State Building! At the same time, he announced his band's Seasons World Tour.
Numerous photos and videos of the action can already be seen on social media. With the sunrise over New York, the scenery looked simply spectacular! Even The Tonight Show from the USA posted a video of the action a few hours ago, in which Jimmy Fallon cheers on the singer while climbing. In an interview with TODAY, Jared Leto said:
"You know, I was more excited than nervous, to tell you the truth. But I have to be honest; it was very, very hard. It was very hard. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be."
Jared Leto also shares a message about it on his Instagram account, writing that he has had a great fascination with the Empire State Building since childhood.
As many of you also know, I love to climb. It’s one of the few things I’ve found that takes me away from some of the pressures of life and helps me to find a bit of freedom and equanimity.
In a lot of ways, this album is about following your dreams and pushing yourself to do the seemingly impossible. Climbing the Empire State Building certainly falls into that category for me. As does touring the world with my brother and sharing these unforgettable concerts and experiences with you all.
The new Thirty Seconds To Mars album, It's The End Of The World But It's A Beautiful Day, was released on September 9, 2023. On the tour, numerous songs from it will definitely be performed live, so don't miss this opportunity!
The Tour Dates For The Seasons World Tour 2024
Together with his brother Shannon Leto on drums, Jared Leto will be touring the world next year, from America to Europe to Australia and New Zealand. But of course, we are especially interested in the tour dates in our immediate vicinity. We have listed them directly here for you. The support bands for Europe have not been announced yet. In America, names like AFI, Poppy, and KennyHoopla can be seen - that sounds really awesome!
