"In Utero", the last album released by Nirvana in September 1993, is a masterpiece of grunge rock and is considered one of the most important albums of the 90s. 30 years later, we remember the songs and the tours of the band and celebrate the release of a new edition!

As the last album of Nirvana, In Utero naturally has a special place in the memory and the hearts of fans. It was released after the very successful album Nevermind, for which Nirvana are mainly known. But In Utero also achieved high chart positions, namely number 1 in the UK and the USA. The singles were all successful: "Heart-Shaped Box", "All Apologies" and "Rape Me" were played endlessly on their tours at the time.

With Kurt Cobain on the mic, Dave Grohl (now Foo Fighters) on drums, Krist Novoselic on bass and Pat Smear on guitar, Nirvana toured the United States and the entire world extensively. Of course, the atmosphere can only be recreated to a limited extent today, but the live recordings of their concerts still give you goose bumps when you listen to them. Especially the MTV Unplugged concert they played at New York's Sony Music Studios in 1993 inspires fans and musicians alike to this day.

In total, In Utero has sold over 15 million copies and has also been awarded with platinum several times. The album conveys all the energy and attitude that fueled Nirvana in the 90s. For this reason, it is only fitting that after 30 years, the band's previously unreleased material is also being honored. Over 53 new releases can be found on the new versions of In Utero.

When Will The New Boxset Be Available?

Good news; you can now pre-order the various Anniversary Editions of the album and be among the first to hold this piece of the band's history in your hands! From October 27 on, the deluxe versions will be available for regular purchase (if not sold out!).
