Recently, Kreator frontman Mille Petrozza shared exciting updates about a possible new album during an interview with Portuguese Look Mag. Learn more about the background and the band's plans here!

In a recent interview with Portuguese Look Mag, Kreator frontman Mille Petrozza gave exciting updates about a potential new album from the band. He revealed that since the release of their last album Hate Über Alles in 2022, he has been constantly working on new music and has already written about ten songs. However, he emphasized that the right timing and the appropriate theme are crucial:

"I have written since '21 or '22, when we recorded it, I've already written, like, 10 songs or something, or 10 ideas for songs. And I could record an album today, but I want to wait until the right moment comes when I have a lyrical concept and everything feels right. To me, it's not important to release something just for the sake of it. I think it needs to just feel right… I'd rather be quiet than saying something where I don't have anything to say."

Timeline for the Next Album

When asked about the timeline for the next album, Petrozza explained that the band has 2026 in mind for the release of their new album. The year 2025 could be dedicated to songwriting and recording, with the release planned for early 2026:

"We have a rough idea. We have scheduled the record for 2026, maybe — but if everything goes right. We're probably gonna take the year '25 off just for songwriting and recording. And let's see where it takes us. But if everything goes to plan, then there will be a new Kreator record at the beginning of '26."."

Klash Of The Ruhrpott in Gelsenkirchen

Last Sunday, Kreator played at the "Klash Of The Ruhrpott" festival at the Amphitheater Gelsenkirchen. The event featured the long-awaited reunion of Germany's legendary "Teutonic 4," the four biggest thrash metal bands from Germany, completed by Sodom, Destruction, and Tankard.

Unfortunately, the festival had to be cut short due to severe weather. Kreator apologized to fans on social media:

"We are absolutely disappointed that we couldn't play our full set for you yesterday. During the second song of the old school parts conceived especially for Klash Of The Ruhrpott, we received the message that the fire department of the city of Gelsenkirchen, due to a severe weather warning, urgently advised the local organizer to stop the show and evacuate the amphitheater. Since the safety of our fans and our crew is our top priority, we had no choice but to end the concert early. We hope you had as much fun as we did until the abrupt end, and we are already looking forward to seeing you next time. We love you! Fred, Sami, Ventor, Mille, and the Kreator team."
