In just over a month, Gatecreeper's latest album, Dark Superstition, will be released. Already, the death metal experts have unleashed their newest single 'Masterpiece of Chaos', skillfully invoking their proven, unique death metal style.
Vocalist Chase Mason describes the new track as a "nightmarish vision of a broken mirror, where an ominous creature dwells in the web of glass shards." This track "contrasts and complements the melodic approach found in other pieces of the album."
Dark Superstition, set to release on May 17th, thematically explores the supernatural, from divination to the fear of the unknown, and the reliance on magic and chance.
Mason further explains, "Many of the songs tie supernatural themes to personal experiences. The title itself is a tribute to the Superstition Mountains in Arizona, a beautiful yet tragedy and legend-enshrouded mountain area."
