We can tell you one reason for that right away: They simply haven't been around as long as the other two brands. However, that doesn't make them any less cute and versatile. They are a great way to honor favorite characters from anime series, movies, and video games. They should definitely not be missing in a proper collection. So let's introduce the Q Poskets in detail!
Since When Have Q Posket Figures Been Around?
Q Posket figures were developed by the Japanese company Banpresto, which is known for its high-quality collectibles. The company has been around since 2008, but the Q Posket figures were only released years later. The first characters were released in 2014 and since then many more series from numerous franchises have appeared.
For comparison: Funko Pop! figures first appeared in 2011, while Nendoroids have already been collectible since 2006!
What Does "Q Posket" Mean?
On Banpresto's official website, it is stated that the "Q" in Q Posket stands for quality. After all, Banpresto is known as a manufacturer of high-quality figures and Q Poskets are no exception to that. They are sturdy, intricately designed, and come with a matching base to guarantee an visually appealing collecting experience.
The attached "Posket" is the Finnish word for cheek. So in English, it would be "Quality Cheeks". And why? Because the trademarks of all Q Posket figures are not only their cute expressions and big, shiny eyes, but also their adorable cheeks.
Which Characters Are Available?
On the market, you can find a whole lot of Q Posket figures from various niches and media; anime, movies, games. From each series or game, there are usually a whole range of collectible characters. For anime fans, globally popular series like Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, and Demon Slayer are interesting. But there are also Disney classics and Harry Potter characters, as well as game characters from Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy! In other words, the focus here is not exclusively on animated media or specifically on live-action. Both are combined. Even famous personalities such as musicians have been included so that you can add them to your collection. The globally famous K-pop group BTS is a prime example of this, as is DJ Steve Aoki.
How Big Are Q Poskets?
A regular Q Posket figure is not as small as one might assume from its cute appearance. They measure approximately 15 cm - a size that is often used for regular collectible figures as well. However, they differ in design. With their chibi style, big heads, and large eyes, their proportions and appearance are quite different from those of traditional anime and film characters. However, there are also smaller versions of the cheeky figures. They are called Q Posket Petit and measure approximately 9 cm. If you prefer something more compact, then the Petites are definitely the right choice for you.

Are There Different Versions?
One special feature of Q Poskets is that there are usually two different color variations of the figures. In shops, they are labeled as Version A and Version B. The differences can vary in intensity. For example, you may notice lighter or darker hair colors or clothing. This way, you can decide which style suits your taste and individual collection better! (Or you can simply collect both variations.)
Original Or Fake?
Unfortunately, when purchasing these figures, it is important to make sure whether they are official products from Banpresto or fakes. There has been some confusion about this - which we naturally want to avoid for you. By now, you can find videos online that show exactly how to recognize a fake figure. This will prevent disappointment with your purchase. In general, you can always recognize an original by the Banpresto logo on the packaging (or alternatively by the Banpresto watermark in the online shop).
