They have over 1.5 million Facebook likes and yet, until 2018, no one knew their faces. We are talking about GHOST! (By the way, from 2013 to 2015 they were known as Ghost B.C. due to legal reasons). The members of the rock Heavy Metal Band from Linköping, Sweden hide behind eccentric skull masks and black robes. To the public, they are known by their pseudonyms. The frontman is known as Papa Emeritus, a kind of anti-pope, or Cardinal Copia. His bandmates are referred to as Nameless Ghouls.

The Albums of Ghost

In 2006, Ghost channeled their love for horror movies and the typical Scandinavian metal sound into their first studio album, OPUS EPONYMOUS (2010). The result: a Grammy in the category "Best Metal Performance" and numerous performances worldwide with bands like Trivium, In Flames, and Mastodon. This was just the beginning, as their next album INFESTISSUMAM, Latin for "the most hostile", reached number 1 on the charts in Sweden. The release of MELIORA reached number 19 on the German charts. Then step by step, they continued to climb the rock Olympus: the release of PREQUELLE reached number two in Germany and Switzerland. With IMPERA, the band finally achieved their first top placements in the German-speaking world.
