TesseracT Merch

TesseracT was founded in 2003 as a solo project and is known as a representative of British Progressive Metal. Since becoming a full band in 2006, they have been at the forefront of the Djent movement within their genre, significantly influencing numerous bands.

Fine-tuning the Sound

On their latest album, the British progressive flagship managed to combine downtuned riffs with a distinctive, recognizable Djent aesthetic, refining their sound into something unique. Unlike the previous albums ONE, ALTERED STATE (re-released in 2020), and POLARIS, a noticeable pop influence can be seen, which even earned the band a spot at number 48 on the German album charts. TesseracT was ready to sacrifice some of their musical pioneering for more accessibility, which did not harm the final product at all.Musically, they resemble well-known genre giants like Opeth, Northlane, and Meshuggah, incorporating polyrhythmic riffing, complex structures, and atmospheric sounds, resulting in a unique groove that is hard to match. The band has experienced several lineup changes in the past, which also impacted their musical style. The shift from harsh metal vocals to predominantly clean vocals made the search for a fitting vocalist increasingly difficult. Ultimately, they decided to bring back their second historical vocalist, Daniel Tompkins, who was part of the group from 2009 to 2011.Since 2014, the band has been touring with him and has played numerous festivals and concerts around the world. Two of their biggest performances were undoubtedly at the twin festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in 2016. Alongside bands like Architects, Black Sabbath, Bring Me The Horizon, and Heaven Shall Burn, they gained many new fans.
