After leaving I Killed The Prom Queen back in 2007, it was the year that also marked the beginning of DEEZ NUTS. Former IKTPQ drummer JJ Peters wanted to combine his love for hip hop with hardcore and quite fittingly chose the name "Deez Nuts" for the band, which originates from a song by the Hip Hop legend Dr Dre. In the beginning, it was actually JJ's solo project as he performed all instruments on the first demos and also the debut EP REP YOUR HOOD. Shortly after the debut they went on their first Australian tour, alongside their friends in The Amity Affliction - A band that Deez Nuts have always been really close with, considering JJ and Amity's Ahren Stringer work together on their clothing label ONE LOVE APPAREL.
Deez Nuts - Binge & Purgatory (April 7th 2017)
After STAY TRUE (2008), THIS ONE'S FOR YOU (2010), BOUT IT! (2013) and WORD IS BOND (2015) the fifth Deez Nuts record BINGE & PURGATORY came out in April 2017. With songs like 'Purgatory', it shows exactly the Deez Nuts sound that we know and love.
