In addition to 10 studio albums, the group has released several live albums, tour documentaries, DVDs, and EPs. Some of their most well-known songs include "In This River," "Trampled Down," "Angel Of Mercy," and "Stillborn." Does the band's music accompany you regularly in your daily life? Then our Black Label Society merch is just right for you. With comfortable T-shirts and stylish hoodies, you'll always be rocking the look and can crank up the music!

Between Southern Rock and Groove Metal

A raw mix of heavy metal and hard rock; groovy beats that march purposefully forward; biting riffs and fast guitar solos: Black Label Society has become a true institution in the scene, attracting fans of genres like southern rock, doom metal, and groove metal. Even though Zakk Wylde is unmistakably influenced by Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, the band always acts independently and draws from a wide range of influences when songwriting. While some songs are reminiscent of hard rock bands like Guns N' Roses or Scorpions, others could easily be found on albums by typical thrash metal bands like Anthrax or Pantera.

The History of Black Label Society

When Ozzy Osbourne took an extended creative break in the mid-'90s, his guitarist Zakk Wylde seized the opportunity to focus on his own musical projects. In 1998, a band was formed under the name "Hell's Kitchen," which was soon renamed Black Label Society. The EP No More Tears was their first musical offering in 1999. A few months later, their debut album Sonic Brew followed. Fun fact: The dates of their American shows had to be postponed due to a legal dispute. Black Label Society was sued by Johnnie Walker for allegedly using the famous Jack Daniel's logo on their album cover without permission. The group then withdrew the album from the market and re-released it with a different cover and an additional bonus track. In 2000, the band released their second album titled Stronger Than Death, and in 2002, the album 1919 Eternal. Their 2003 album The Blessed Hellride featured longtime companion Ozzy on guest vocals. In the following years, the group's popularity continued to rise. The album Mafia (2005) even reached the Top 20 of the US Billboard Charts.
