The recording sessions with their new drummer, Eloy Casagrande, have produced a new Slipknot song: “Long May You Die”. However, nothing has been released yet.
Fans had already been discussing the song "Long May You Die", and now Slipknot has confirmed these rumors.
Their Instagram post stated:
"Slipknot fans are talking amongst themselves about “Long May You Die” being a new song written during the recent recording sessions.
“You’re right. You’re absolutely right.”"
Recently, Eloy Casagrande, the former Sepultura drummer, talked about how Slipknot tested him before he officially joined the band. They not only rehearsed together but also immediately brought in new ideas and made recordings. Unfortunately, it was also clarified that we shouldn't expect new releases from Slipknot too soon, as the band is currently focused on their 25th-anniversary activities. Nevertheless, new ideas are obviously out there, and a new band member always means new inspiration!
