After four successful seasons of Castlevania, the story is now actually complete. But why not go one step further? Later this month, "Castlevania: Nocturne" will be released and holds a new adventure for fans of the series!
Since the first season of Castlevania aired in 2017, the characters from the fantasy world have really grown on the viewers. Nevertheless, the plot ends with season 4, no matter how much input we still would like to get from Trevor Belmont, Sypha and Alucard. But it's not quite over yet. On September 28, 2023, there will be a sequel titled "Castlevania: Nocturne" on Netflix. It continues to be inspired by the Japanese game "Castlevania" by Konami.
What Storyline Can Fans Expect This Time?
Since there is already an official trailer, you can already check out the new main characters and get a feel for the vibe of the sequel.
And now: Spoiler-Warning!
There is a time skip to the French Revolution in 1792.
From the looks of it, this time it will be all about Richter Belmont and Maria Renard, the vampire hunters. Richter Belmont is the descendant of Trevor Belmont and Sypha, and he is not inferior to them in his efforts. He fights against evil, while the vampire queen Erzsebet Báthory strives for more and more power. Both fighters team up with another supporter: Annette. This mage, in turn, is accompanied by a certain Edouard. The group grows and even more characters join them: even a vampire named Olrox is eventually involved.
About The Cast
As we can look forward to new characters in the series, the same goes for the voice actors, of course. Especially the voice actors of the main characters are already known from one or the other role. Edward Bluemel, known from series like "Killing Eve" and "Sex Education", voices Richter Belmont. Maria Renard is brought to life by Pixie Davies, who has starred in "Mary Poppins Returns," among others. The third of the trio, magician Annette, is voiced by Thuso Mbedu, also to be seen in the film "The Woman King." Sophie Skelton is best known from the series "Outlander": In Castlevania she voices Belmont's mother, Julia.
