Background - Who Are The Amity Affliction?
The band from Gympie - a small town on the east coast of Australia - was formed in 2003 (bassist Ahren Stringer is actually the last remaining founding member). Five years later, their first album Severed Ties (2008) was released. With numerous studio albums, the band regularly tops the charts in Australia. Let the Ocean Take Me (2014) brought The Amity Affliction international breakthrough success: a platinum certification in Australia and #31 on the US charts. Over the years, the group has toured with most relevant figures in the scene, such as Architects, The Ghost Inside, and Being As An Ocean, to name just a few.
